ordered my subby and found my engine last night at a local scrappy..... he said i can go down over the week end and strip what i want then he will get the block out for me.
so here comes the question...
what stuff should i leave behind and what will be best getting off the car apart from the obvious block and gearbox?????

No I don't think any of the SPI will be of use to you. I think you're gonna want the fusebox and the whole front loom including dash etc.... I aint no 16V expert so i'm not sure,... but i would want all the wiring i could get to make it easier to find out what all the wires are etc.

Yep being spi already means you have the right fuel lines under the car, as long as they are good.
Also you can swap the pump that is in the tank for either the one in the K series tank, or just an uprated one.
Its basically worth getting anything that connects to the engine or does some function for the engine, dont forget things like gearchange mechanism, and driveshafts (at least for the inner pot joints if you are getting made driveshafts). You could also get the fuel pump out of the tank, even things like the main clocks could be good.
