i have a 95% finished restoration of a 1986 mini piccadilly, i have modernised it in my own way so it is now no longer completly original, yet i feel it is an improvement. it has just had a full respray in original cashmere gold, and i have a set of 4 spots ready to fit, but am so impressed with the mini at the moment i no longer know if i should fit the spotlights, and am greatly in need of some other oppinions. cheers

I really like spotlights and foglights at the front but then again I would say that! ;)

Maybe someone could photoshop some lights on the front of yours, to see if you think it looks good afterwards. That's how I decided what things to do on mine.

spot lights are extra weight, and you will only really use the at night, if at all! i must admit any extra light on the front can only be a plus but, i prefer the front without them.

Personally I dont think you should use all 4, so many people have that now and it looks overused, which Is why I went for 2 larger ones. But if you want to use all 4, maybe think about using them in a different layout, so it doesnt look the same as every other mini.

It depends on what look you're going for,I'm just having a pair of fogs on mine, I was originally going for drivers lamps too but I'm leaving them, I'm sticking some overriders on so with four lights It'd be too crowded IMO.

Go for the spots. But ask someone to photoshop some on for you to see first.

I love the spotlights, as has been said they're a finishing touch. First time I properly fell in love with a mini was when it flashed all 4 wipacs at us at a junction in the evening. Talk about a knock out lol

If you plan to drive at night, and they suit the car (in your case I think they would) then go for it, I think they look great when you 'flash' someone.

They don't suit my car at all so I've left mine as it is.
