When I was connecting the fuel tanks (which i belive i have dont correctly), I couldnt find a fuel pump. So I need to buy and fit one.
Any idea what i need, and where to put it? Luckily, I prepared some pictures to try explan my problem a lil better.
Firstly, I have Twin tanks, and in the boot, there were various bits of copper and fuel pipe... So I attatched them like so...
(sorry about poor pictures!)
The large rubber pipe comes out the boot floor and can be joined (i say can as in could be but isnt as lack of fuel pump) to this lil copper pipe. (hard to see, just left of the middle of the picture)
Copper Pipe runs up to the carb at the front.
And somewhere in the equasion i have me one of these lil buggers!!!

That gizmo is a 'Filter king' if you didn't know. fuel pressure regulator and filter, well worth keeping.

If it has a blanking plate on the mechanical pump mounting it must surely have a leccy pump, have a look on the rear subframe.

Hold on, I didnt get the first thing... I have no pump at the moment, other than one i could pinch off my old 998... The later picture of the copper pipe shows the float chamber of the carb. rear subframe looks normal!
The Filter king has it written on the bottom as i read after i posted!!
Where and how do you fit such a filter king?

Yes you could use the mechanical pump off your 998 as long as it's not a 100bhp monster.
The filter king would go in between the pump and the carburettor, ideally as close to the carb as possible. There are arrows showing the direction of flow. They used to be standard eqpt on Alfa Romeos - used to be the cheapest way to get replacement filter elements but that was ages ago. Most benefit with a leccy pump as it stops it getting the better of the float valve yet keep the line pressure high enough to ensure a constant supply.

The guy claimed it once ran at 120bhp, but that was 8 or so years ago, and there is no proof so i doubt that it actually did!
but then should i buy an electric one to be on the safe side? I thought the one on my 998 (d reg) would be electric, but then what do i know! i havent got a clue, as ive not dealt with them before!
So, If i decide to buy one, could you please advice what one i need and where it shall be fitted? thanks sooo much!
Out of interest, what way up should "The Filter King" go? so the flat bit is at the top, or the way i have it in the photo?
I dont know where i would be without this forum!
#thanks guys

Have a look on the minispares site and the likes for info on lecct pumps if you decide to fit one but you could try the mechanical pump first.
