got a 1430. And just getting it going at the moment, will be another week til the new carbs on (45DCOE) but when i have started the engine the oil pressure just climbs and climbs, will start slowing down before 80ish but ive never ran it long enough to let it come back down... Guy i was talking to sayes his goes up to 110 before coming down  whats everyone else experiencing?

Cheers! may the force be with you  :D

80 ish what?

80lb or Psi?

My Smith gauge only read to 100lb so 80lb is excessive. If it's psi then 60 is more what you want for warm. When the engine is cold the pressure is always high.

So you mean the cold pressure, right?

If so then mine start at 60lb then drops to 40lb at warm.

Ah, Smiths gauges for me. Very very old school all in pounds. For tippy top peak oil pressure then it's 80lb. But thats as high as it ever goes like downhill doing 6000rpm.
