reasonable then. if it were me and i had alot of money i'd do a gearbox rebuild, but it doesn't sound like anything is wrong, just general wear and tear (especially on the bulk rings).

Cool, but I'm still not sure what to do about the oil. I have a few options...
- Do nothing as the car drive fine
- Top up the 10W/40 oil that's already in there as it's on the minimum mark at the moment
- Top up with 20W/50 as this is meant to be better for Minis
- Do a full oil change to 20W/50
- Do a full oil change to 10W/40

how long has the current oil been in? if it's less than 6000miles, just top up. if its more or your not sure, do a full oil change to 10w40
