Hi guys n girls,

i have recently brought some extra long wheel studs and nuts for the front wheels on my mini, i have about 12 threds holding the wheels on but to get the weels out far enough for the nuts to hold them tight i have had to put on 2 5mm spacers on each side so i have 10mm spacers!

has anyone ever herd of a wheel popping off with this amount or do any of u guys think this is unsafe?

any thoughts would be very welcome

You shouldn't really need spacers on the front. The extra long studs aren't fully threaded as they are intended for the rear and brake drums with built in spacers.

I wouldn't be happy using more than 1 spacer per side. - It's the number of flat faces for shearing rather than the thickness.

Sounds like you'd be better off with shorter studs, certainly if the wheels go on without any spacers.
