Trading In Our Mini

We are looking to trade the car in for another Mini, preferably a Cooper S and was just wondering if anyone could give us a guide as to what kind of deal we could strike with Mini garage? Autotrader says the car is currently worth £7,000 with a dealer (we paid £9,000 for it exactly a year ago) But given the recent chnages we have made to the cars condition and tax MOT etc, would they take this into consideration?
Any advice would be greatly appreiciated.
Many thanks
Colin

We cyrrently have a Mini One, Astro Black. Its on a 52 plate (2003) registered with mileage currently at 35,000. The car is in mint perfect condition with only 2 female owners (the previous and the car is currently in my gf's name). We have just had back and front break pads replaced, a new front tire (4 x alloy Pirelli tires on). We have also just had the car taxed for 6 months 2 weeks ago, and the car passed its MOT on Saturday for another year.

That's life, expect to loose even more money if you buy a newer carAutotrader says the car is currently worth £7,000 with a dealer (we paid £9,000 for it exactly a year ago)
They won't be interested in any 'modifications' you have done, if anything unless they are very mainstream they may even offer you less. At 5 years old the car is too old for a main dealer to keep on their forecourt. It will be packed off to the auction immediately unless they have a deal with a local 2nd stream dealer round the corner who can sell cars of this age.But given the recent chnages we have made to the cars condition and tax MOT etc, would they take this into consideration?
