I didnt refit mine because someone told me they can trap dirt and keep it in the disc region (and i'd have had to go buy a new one so..)

When i converted to a smaller brake set-up (so that i could run 10s), the 8.4" disc shields didnt fit so i didn't put any others on. Not had any problems.

Not many things we can be unanimous on, but this is one.

i refurbed mine and put them back on but then i took them off as they in the way!! so OFF is my vote. ooooo maybe we could do a poll and see just how unanimous a decision it would actually be.

If you want to join the flat cap brigade, and have a 'totally standard' mini then keep them on...

If you want you mini to be useful and not rattle and trap stones, take the usless things off and throw them in the nearest wheelie bin..
