i was driving back from work today came to my first set of traffic lights and pulled away and bam my exhaust snapped.

will i need to replace the whole fron section or just the y piece??

Just the collector, if you can get the old one off!

Some nice rust proofing there :)

Good to see the gearbox mounting bracket but hows that u clamp near the gear selector mounted?

If it's rigid it could be the cause of the failed pipe join best to use a rubber mounting.

Just weld it back together

Ethel the clamp near the selector looks like it just joins the exhaust to the down pipe

best taken off before welding, but, that's that I'd do as it's only the original weld which has broken...

Had to do the same with an LCB the other week...

Looks like you may need an engine steady, good possibility why it snapped.

yeah i do need an engine steady........i ordered one from mini sport weeks ago and still hasnt arrived!!!
