1098 Series Engine

I have just got an 1098 engine which hope to transplant into my mini but there is no history on the engine exept poss 1978 eng no 10H353E does anyone know what type of distributer goes in and can i swop over fly wheel from currant A+ to this engine so i can keep pre-engaged starter.

It'll be an A Series rather than A+ if its 1978. You can swap to a Verto flywheel if you want to there'll be no issues with that. The dizzy could be a Ducellier (one was fitted to my 1978 1098 Clubby originally) or a Lucas, but I don't know which particular code of dizzy. It'll need to be one with an A-Series clamp though.
