Yes easily, given the right components. The hard part to find is the brake pedal relay system. Try Mega Mini for all the parts.

Hi Dan,

This is Fred from Atlanta, is it legal to covert the LHD existing 2002 U.S. Mini to RHD one for use in U,S,?.
You mentioned that the convertion is possible as long as you have the right part How about the part # 1 in Splash wall parts,

this part must be symetrical in lhd and rhd, is it?.
If it is not you have to replace that, that would be a big job.

help me please

Fred,

Im not sure that converting a 2002 MINI from LHD to RHD is possible. Easiest thing would be to order a RHD MINI from a dealer. Any mini built before 2000 (the proper ones) its much easier. The only things required would be the LHD steering rack, pedal box (i think, although it may be the same as the RHD ones), i think the engine steady is different as well. Brake and clutch master cylinders may need to be changed for the correct ones, and brake and clutch pipes will need to be made to suit. Mega Minis in the UK tend to stock a fair amount of LHD stuff.

The question above, and my answer referd directly to a Classic Mini. Whether it's possible with a BMW Mini I have no idea. Having been to the production line though I think it's highly unlikely. For one thing the cockpit assembly is not universal and is very expensive. Yes the basic shell is universal but there are many parts unique to either drive. I'm not sure what part you mean by splashwall.

Why would you want a RHD Mini in the US?
