I bought a mini off a fella in Tyrone, Northern Ireland and was sent a Vehicle Salvage Export Certificate form from him! Thats all he had - Im worried now that Ive been ripped off... what can I do with this?

mail the dvla and see what they say about it....

sounds like you have bought a repaired Cat C car as the definition from the DVLA on their web site reads as follows :
Note: DVLA is unable to issue a V561 if the vehicle is
registered as Category āCā Salvage, but can instead issue
a V963 Vehicle Salvage Export Certificate (this is not for
re-registration purposes). N.B. this only applies to cars.
salvage export docs only apply to salvage - not any other form of vehicle.
all this info was taken from a document about shipping cars out of the uk, whether its the same with importing them I'm not sure.
I hate to say it but I see 2 scenarios - either you have bought a re-built Cat C write-off, or a stolen car with the identity from a cat C Write-off.
I hope I'm wrong.
