Theres alot of work that needs doing to it ( like floorpans, brakes, suspension etc )
I would like to start getting some new bits for the engine as its looking pretty sad and battered, starting with a decent carb set-up.. Would i be able to fit twin 1 1/4" carbs to a standard 998cc or do i have to upgade other bits?

David Vizard - How to tune the A Series engine.
It will tell you EVERYTHING about tuning.
Also, twin 1.1/4inch carbs will fit fine.

Lol sorry you've probably been through all this before.
Ill look out for that, cheers fella
Ah don't worry about it. I'm just a miserable git. The Vizard book will give you LOTS of info for tweaking your 998. From carbs to cam choice to block work.

Ok
The book Adam keeps talking about used to be called before revision three ' Tuning BL's A Series Engine' T. B. A. S. E.

Oooh, another good read (though old) is 'How To Modify Your Mini' but Captain HTMYM doesn't have the same ring to it as T-BASE!
