He is a, perhaps the, leading expert, for many years, on tuning and modifying Minis.

I find the Haynes Manuals very good, the ones I use the most are obviously the Mini but also those that cover the Metro. If you run SU carbs I would wholeheartedly recommend the one that covers these as well. I have some of the factory manuals on CD they are full of info but a little impractical when actually working under the bonnet.

The best manual I have though is the one put together from my own experiences.

:dontgetit: Hi i noticed no manuals geared towards panel removal and replacement.... anyone know if there is such a thing????

Linsay Porters "Mini - All Models: Guide to Purchase & DIY Restoration" contains lots of information about panel repair/replacement.

Seems to be pretty cheap to pick up via Amazon (though I've never used those sellers)

I think the guide to purchase is a little irrelevant, but the restoration section is great, loads of information on how to remove and replace each panel on the car including the tricky bits. Old black and white photos but they are still reasonably clear - if your going for your first stab at welding this should keep you right.

If it hasn't been mentioned elsewhere the Mini Torque Settings sign on eBay and Amazon is very good :)
