i have been looking at a few of these on ebay, and they look to be very simular to mini engine's, so what i was windering is, would it be possible to get an 1800cc MGB engine, remove the clutch and flywheel ect , then fit normal mini ones, then somehow fit a mini gear box?, would this be possible and has it been done or am i just talkin a loads of rubbish lol??

Nope, wouldn't work.
edit
Well not without alot of work and more than likely making the mini rear wheel drive.

if its the same engine they used in the 1800 Maxi, you might as well use Maxi engine and gearbox which has already been done in a Mini,

the maxi 1750 drops in quite snugly.
do bear in mind it was out of a maxi and therfore not the fastest engine you could fit by any means!!! for what it would cost in time and money, id be looking at Vtec.

The MGB engine is a BMC B series. It looks the same because it is the same, only bigger. It won't fit. There's no taper tail crank available for that engine. Shame because the DOHC head for it is quite nice (but rare as..) and if you build it on a five main bearing bottom end it works well I'm told.
