I think i pay about £8.50 a week. I managed to get mine in a nice area populated with old people homes so no trouble :dontgetit:

My garage is a private let (very rural area) and has electricity and a light. Basically a large square garage, big enough for a mini, 4 bikes, a motorbike and a LOAD of tools (both my stuff and GF's gardening stuff). It's £20PCM all in.

I've been on our council waiting list for about 9 months. Expected wait is 2-3 years (but I'm in Surrey). :dontgetit:

From Mole Valley District Council webby:

Garage Rent Charges 2nd April 2007 -30th March 2008

Council Tenants £6.90 per week
Leaseholders of ex-Council flats £6.90 per week
Other, in same area as garage £8.11 per week (incl. VAT)
Other, in different area to garage £10.22 per week (incl. VAT)

cheers for the replies, prices seem to vary a fair bit

MMM not much hope of matching that bargin price!

Hoping to get one at the end of the street, old peoples bungalows /court thing, so very quiet and lots of built in neighbourhood watch!

Its for storage of complete car so power etc aint really an issue, bonus if could get it but not top of list

Yeah, I was very lucky really, they let us convert a barn especially for it, but I guess it adds value on for when we leave.........

UDO, you got another project in mind? If push comes to shove can you not buy a decent quality gazebo and put it next to your existing garage or even a large shed?

If you get desperate I may have some spare garage space if I speak nicely to my new next door neighbour. If I could put Bertie under the remanents of his old garage there'll be space in mine. Not sure on timescale though...!

Cheers Zomerset, its the surprise for the missus Christmas present that I need the space for and yes its mini shaped, well sort of

Don't want to stick another shed in the garden but have considered it! plus I think even she would notice that!

Are you a Dad yet Zomerset?
