I dont see why not, a friend of mine passed her test in her standard fiat bravo with no duel controls or anything, so i dont see why you couldnt take yuour test in your mini... GOOD LUCK!

Yeah I think you should be able, I'm gonna take mine in my mini cause its the car I'm learning in, and theres no point in unlearning the steering techniques for unassisted steering, plus the test car's gonna be a lot bigger, lighter clutch, taller driving position etc, and thb its waaay to much to adjust to quickly when you're already kacking yourself about the test!
Good luck by the way, I know I cant wait to pass my test!!

no reason at all... i would have thought the examiner might not think much to you driving in a mini on your test though and might be stricter than normal because its such a small car. Realistically though, it should be easier way of passing aswell because manouvres are sooo easy in a mini :dontgetit:

Good luck!

More room for 3-point turns!

I'm sure we've had people on here already who took their tests in their minis.

If you're more used to your learner car than your Mini, do it in the learner car. You want to take your test in the car your most comfortable with. You can take your test in your Mini just inform the examiner beforehand.

My son passed his test in his 998 mini, and i'm teaching my next door neighbour in his 87 mayfair which he'll take his test in in 3 weeks time.
Just make sure it has head rest on the passinger seat, rear belts, and a rear view mirror for the examiner.
Also to be on the safe side, when I take people in there own car's for a driving test, I get them to bring MOT & insurance (never been asked, but always a 1st)
I have been a qualified driving instructor for the last 16 years, but don't teach much anymore only friends & family.

As long it has a MOT, tax, insurance, good tyres and everythings working then you'll be fine.
