I wondered how long befor someone realized that small fact..hate to say it but hasnt the chassis been made for a saloon, with an estate having a longer wheelbase?They have a clubman estate waiting to be put on the chassis. they would of used the saloon but it's to far gone and also they couldn't shut the bootlid with the radiator fans been in the way. As my mate says he's bought a 850 quid banger and is grafting a mini round it. It will be fully road legal when finished. just has to go for an SVA.

Don't really matter that much as it just means the wheel arches can be extended towards the front. It's running on jag 15" alloys with low profile tires.

i love how V8 conversions r always covered in oil n dirt, never clean n powdercoated like zcars, lol.
Z-cars = small japanese hi-tech engines = clean immaculate looks
V8 = Brute force, lo-tech = big messy car!

Holy Chuck!! That is quite an impressive conversion. I think most the minis I've seen with wheels bigger than 13" have looked a bit daft, so it'll be interesting to see what this one looks like once finished.

It's nice to see that someone's got the bottle to do something different to be honest.
Good luck to him I say!

Well its only started because one of our club said they were going to do a vauxhall conversion. So he said well i'm going to stick a V12 in mine. (Happened to have one for another non mini project). Anyway they got the tape measure out and sure enough it would fit under a clubman bonnet! As for the wheels. He's painted the rim black and is using 45s on them. He reckons it will be not much wider than a bodykitted mini when finished and a little bit lower. They created the all over red flame mini with the roof job that was in mini mag a bit back and they've got a history with messin about with cars. They've a Ford Pop to do at some point with a 6l V8 to go in it.
