Check this out, It's an e-mail from AKM Racing. They are the guy's I contacted ages ago about the 7 port heads. Would've worked out about £1500 to get one off them. We'll have to wait and see how Mini Sport compare:

'Dear Sir

We have sold all casting equipment and tools, as we use to make the 7 port cylinder head. Mini Sport in UK have take over, so please take contact to Mini Sport if you still want one. '

Yeah, Minisport being Minisport they'll probably cast it on the cheap and charge more for it!

(And it'll be even more if you want one that's been finish machined!)

after talking to simon at morspeed it soudn like they make a bomb out of the heads they buy! They bouy um for £250 or so and then sell for £350+ thats £100 for doing nothing where as the guy with the drill has to do a few days worth of horrible grinding

I thought that the AKM heads were Steel.

It's a bit of a bugger that Mini Sport have taken over production though. I was after one, but now it seems like a big risk.
