My name is Rob and I am 50 years old.
I live in Adelaide, Australia(the original home of the Adelaide Formula One Grand Prix)
I am presently restoring a 1969 round nose Mini 1100 for my 18 year old son Tom.
He doesn't have his driving license yet but maybe this will inspire him to pull his finger out.
The car was in pretty good shape when we bought it.
Very little rust and a slight dent in the lhf guard.
Other than that it, was very well taken care of.
My oldest son Tim is qualified panel beater, so with his help we are doing up the body work.
We got a front cut in exchange for a bottle of vodka and used the guard and grille support panel to replace the damaged parts.
The rest of the body is in great shape.
While we had the lhf guard off, we replaced the A pillar panel which was repairable but we replaced it any way.
The head is off at the moment being converted to be able to use unleaded fuel.
Also I am having the seats re-trimmed.
Its a long road to get the little girl back on the road but it will be a cracker when its done.
