I cleaned out the my hs4 carb the other day and put it back together. While putting it back together i noticed i couldnt find the rubber washer thing (ferrule i think ?) that connects the pipe of the jet assembly to the carb.

I tried turning the engine over without it and fuel just leaked out of where the the pipe sits at the bottom of the float

Is there anyway i can replace this without having to buy the whole service kit ?

I was thinking of using insulation tape to thicken up the end of the pipe so it stays put ?

Any help appreciated !!!

I think it comes with the jet if you buy that. It may also be available seperately, call Burlen Fuel Systems.

I wouldn't try tape the petrol will dissolve the adhesive. If you can't get the original may be an O ring?

also wonder if the seals on a push bike pump adapter could be close enough ???

Or get a scrap carb and just take that bit off, useful for other spares too, like the throttle and choke cable clamping thingmies! (yes - technical terms are us today). Always useful to have spares!

Ended up buying the whole service kit as the jet was like 18 quid so might as well service the whole thing for 8-9 quid more !

Thanks for your help guys
