hi people kinda new to posting here, been loking around for a while but this is the first post, unfortunatly its not a very hapey one as unfortunatly my mini is having to be sold as its unfortunatly just not realy practical to keep.so i was wondering if it would be posable to have a bit of advice on wheres the best place to sell it and what i should rufly be looking for.its basicly a c reg mayfare which ive had for about 6 year its don around 60000 miles and has the best part of 12mths mot.its had a hole bunch spent on it from a full twopack respray to new intiror and new wheels and tires(compamotive rims) most of which you can see in the pics and is a farly good condion for its age.most of the stuf i did was all cosmetic due to the fact i needed to keep insurance at a minimum so may make a nice cary on project for a new driver.any advice wuld be much aresiated many thanks charlie

Stick it in the For Sale section and stick it on Auto Trader.

I'd put a starting price on it of £2500 but be willing to part with it for £2000.

I put an ad on autotrader website £17.99 for 2 weeks. autotrader now offer a service where they give you a special phone number for the duration of the add which links to your phone but stops scam callers and canvassers from calling you up. but i think it is a premium rate for people calling the number.

Write something like this....

1985 Mini mayfair, 998cc, same owner for last 6 years, 60000 miles, 11mths mot. Thousands spent, full twopack respray, new interior, compomotive rims and new tyres, good condion for its age, Pictures don't do it justice!! Cheap insurance, ideal first car.
no canvassers, Traders, Nigerian Cheque scams and no i don't want a copy of your free magazine.

£(insert price) OVNO

Without giving it a proper good going over i can't really say for sure, but i don't think many people would pay £2500 for a 998. To be honest i think your looking at near to £1500; £2000 at very most if somebody wants it enough. Try advertising for £1800 or put £2000 ONO etc.

Try advertising on auto trader as biggav said. I know when i was looking for my mini i went to look at 2 from auto trader. Mini magazine also offers free private adverts. Another option is obviously ebay; however you will be taking the risks of time wasters/non paying bidders and also people winning the auction then not coughing up when they come to view it.

Good luck with the sale anyway
