Several times in the last 12 months appararently. Jeff Gibbons did a lot of work sorting things for the new owners then they sacked him. Zero parts availability for most things including the bargain 16v head kits they have been advertising for £2.5K
Indeed they are in trouble again,
I have one of there 16v heads on my counter, which i was using to put on top of a 1400cc full race engine with a sequential box,
After reciving the head 6 months ago i was told the cam carrier and cams/valves etc... would follow
They never arrived, i was then told by JKD that they had "ran out" of money and could not continue making the 16v head!
Jack Knights site is down, so things look bad.

What a load of rubbish, Jack Knight is going strong and have just employed David Knight the son of the founder. There are a few people who would like to see the company harmed but they are out of luck this year ha,ha,haIf this is the company who make gearboxes etc etc, theres rumours of liquidation / take-over lingering on other forums.

Please don't listen to gossip there are some people who are trying to do harm to Jack Knight for their own reasons. Cylinder head is only one of hundreds of parts that Jack Knight makes and have done for the past 50 years. Come on get behind a great company with great values and more good things will be developed in the futureI was only passing on information i had read. There is a huge uproar about the heads, even from people who support jack knight.

No war but the truth is the truth and i'm on a mission, only kiddingHeh Jack don't take this too seriously. It is only what other people have said on other forums, and it was posted here as such. This post was only a result of Jack Knight's website being unavailable...

if all is well why would a respected engine builder, whose business uses JK parts to make money post up that he cant get bits?.....just what would he have to gain from it?What a load of rubbish, Jack Knight is going strong and have just employed David Knight the son of the founder. i've read on other motorsport forums about orders cancelled, or not fully provisioned......hardly the sign of a healthy company!.......or is it just a conspiracy by all the people who use JK bits?

Hopefully this will annoy those nasty people in Byfleet very much indeed.
'Jack' from Surrey, oh very secret that is!
And who do you mean when you say respected engine builder Bluebottle?
