I'm looking for a new grille but I'm not sure what my options are.

I'd like one without the top lip on the bonnet really and I'm considering getting a GRP bonnet with pins so that I don't need external release gap in the grille. So can I get a mk3/4 grille without the top surround on the bonnet or will I have to get a mk1 grille with moustache?

And whilst I'm here, has anyone had any problems with bonnet pins enabling anyone to steal the bonnet? Or is that just me being stupid again.. :)

Thanks in advance.

GRP ones can still have the lip on for the chrome strip..

Yea I knew that, thanks. :)
I'd rather have the grille all in one piece and I think it looks better when the bonnet doesn't have the chrome strip on it...

the chrome strip screws onto the lip on mk3+ bonnets(metal), that lip is spot wleded on grind the welds out and you got urself a mk1 bonnet,

you can add a mk1 grille keep the mk3 add a moustache etc etc etc...
