Only late SPi and MPi Minis have dash install brackets in the shell. All others have to fix the dash to the dash rails, as above or however you can. 8mm MDF could be a bit thin, it may well snap when you pull it into the curve as it will only have a narrow section around any cutouts. Put a straight edge across the car and you will see how deep the curve is, it's more than you think. I'd use at least 12mm, 15mm if you can find it. 18mm is a bit too thick though. Go to somewhere other than Wickes and you should be able to find moisture proof or even full exterior MDF which will be better. Try Travis Perkins or a proper wood yard.

Save up for the good stuff then.. Rather than buying C**p stuff that brakes so you need the good stuff in the end..

And if you go to a proper hardware place.. (Wickes is C**p) It should be a good price..

haha cheers buddie, appreacite it, I see my work as quiet different to all the other foto'ers out there, how it works its pretty simple, as you start photographing, after a year or so, you will start to generate your own style & stick to it. its annoying though, because if I go somewhere and I aint got my camera, I allways see a great photo oppatunity! but yea. im going to some other wood place to try pick up some better wood, even though I did look in the car & it seemed straight...
