i recently converted to minisport 4 pot 7.5" brakes,

but when i brake the car pulls to the left, and when i accelerate and back off completely the steering jerks suddenly,

but when driving along normally, i can let go of the whele and it will stay on a straight course..

i am also not very impressed with the performance, the brakes are correctly bleed with no pedal sponge, but it is impossible to lock the wheels up and i have a remote servo..

as far as i am aware they are correctly fitted..

but as of yesterday (have been driving car for 2 weeks) there is a terrible squal from the right hand front wheel when i back off the accelerater and coast, o turn in left harsh-ish

any help

gaz..

I had something similar that only apeared when I fitted new brakes, turned out to be a sticky caliper. This caused pulling etc and also a very spongy feel to the pedal as the pads got hot and I had brake fade.
As for the not very good feel of the brakes, well thats 7.5 for you. People say how brilliant they are, but how can they be so good when they are so small! People try to say they are better than 8.4's, but the contact area is smaller for the disc to pad and the pistons are smaller so there is less presure area on the back of them. They are no better than a propperly set up set of twin leading shoe drum brakes, well 4 pots might be, but in general 7.5's aren't as good as people like to think

Are they brand new calipers?

Take them back off and check the pistons are moving ok, make sure there is no dirt around the pistons that might cause it to drag. Don't forget that it takes a while for new pads and discs to bed in. Also what sort of pads have you got? I had Ferodo fast road pads once and they were rubbish on the road because they just didnt get hot enough. I could stand on the pedal and still not lock the fronts up, as soon as I changed to normal pads they worked fine.

Could just be brake squeak, either but a thin smear of copper grease on the back of the pad, or make a shim the smae shape as the brake pad and fit it between the pad and calliper.

Have you got them fitted with the bleed nipples at the top of the caliper or the bottom? It does sound like something may be sticking a little, but I'd also be concerned about you not being able to lock them up. Some fast road pads do take a while to warm up and then can be quite noisey though.
