Could it not just be a case of someone getting their registration wrong when they were filling in the form? You often get several cars of the same make/model being registered on very similar registrations.
yes of course, dvla said that, i also own another plate though that is just one digit different to that on my car, i saw it on ebay and thought it would make a nice transfer plate for a second mini but have since realised that without the original car, mot and tax, i cannot do this. so its memorabilia but nice to have it, all the same.
Apparently though the picture the scammer sent in of the mini with the plates on the car shows that they wrote down the plate correctly, thats what dvla have confirmed. They said it would be looked into with the most urgency....
