When i bought my mini i discovered the rear subframe was "pinched".

Wondering if theres anyway it could be straightened out ? Would it even pass a mot ?

Am i better off replacing it ?

Is that the back rail? Often happens if someone uses it to tow another car.

38.5 inches between the centres of the rear mounting bolts - you can probably measure that easiest in the boot.

Not likely to fail an MoT.

Man that took me a while to figure out which part it was! lol

I think Ethel is right with the towing, in fact you can see two creases in the rear valance where the rope has been bending it.

Well that's one possibility....

Someone could also have run off a road in the Yorkshire Dales at around midnight and finished up in a pasture so steep that the wheels just span when he tried to reverse out and had to sleep in the car until the morning when he could get the farmer to tow him out with a tractor
