Hi, im looking at swapping my 125cc scooter/bike for a 1978 mini mayfair....anyone any advice? This will be my first car, n ive always wanted a mini!

I have an o2 plate Gilera DNA 125cc in black and looking at swopping it for Austin Morris Mini 1000 2 door saloon 1978 very original.

Worth it or not? Pics of mini n bike are attached (or at least should be)

yess!! swap it!! my mini i've got now is my first!! when my sister took me out in it its like a go kart, and even though its the smallest car i've driven, its certainly the best!! so much fun its made me mini mad!!

I think the mini's not worth as much as the bike.

yeah but i 125 bike is not really fun is it? i mean the smallest i'd want would be a 250 but the law negates the fact that i can have one on the road, so i'd swap it because it looks amazin and bikes are only fun from 600 to 1000. so yeah. lol

plus if you crash on a bike your basically dead whereas the mini you have a bit more of a chance

mini 850 or 1000 only.

It is a good time of year to swap a bike I think.

swap it but check ove rcar for anymajor problems first and see it running

You prob done the swop or not.
Few things to consider tho....(Dont want to sound like your Dad)
Your right about biking - Fun at 600-1000 (125 can still kill you tho)
However all bikes get you thro static traffic faster. Annoying when your sat there. (Maybe wetter tho)
MOT & not his mates - they should spot any 'dodgy' welding/Major body fills
Not saying you dont know about cars mate, but get some one to give it the once over. (Not looking thro 'I luv mini eyes')
Be prepared to get your hands dirty and spend cash on repairs. She is no spring chicken any more.
Ask yourself, would you spend a grand on this car? (Altho she looks nice, so does my mum after 10-12 pints LOL)
Find out what mini it really is.
