I've got a Jack Knight on mine, not exactly sure how different it is to the standard one, I spose I do notice a bit of a differene than with my last car, but saying that my last car was a wreck and this one has better suspension (and the engine is fully bolted in!!)

I have a quickrack installed on my car. I love. I used to complain because the left blinker off switch was broken and so i had to turn it off manually.... now because the steering wheel barely moves.... neither of them turn off automatically. Its really fun though. No work at all in making it turn.

So does it just make the steering hyper-sensitive or only easier on tight turns?!

First time I'd driven with a quick rack was this weekend. Yes, its a little twitchy down the motorway at first but you soon get used to it. The pro's far outweigh the cons, but only if your mini handles well.

Well I can't say that I have ever driven one, but I would not like de idea of having one. I like speed and with that hyper-sensitive steering I don't think it would be fun making a sudden move at 100mph. But if you are into cornering this might be your thing.

harder to turn at low speeds but once moving good for ragging roud tight tracks and roads! the std steering rack isnt too bad, personally i wudnt change unless renewing or racing

It's not that twitchy with a quickrack, the standard one is only around 2.6 turns I think. It's just a bit faster, but the penalty is it's a bit heavier steering too.

Oh good!!! I am converting my canadian LHD mini to a RHD and was ordering a quik turn but thye said they were all out so I ordered a standard RHD one instead... I was bummed out at first but now i think it's a better choice.

i like it better. On the freeway i can drive with one pinkie on the wheel. In the rain however is another story. Thats a two handed operation.... but I also have bald tires.... but the rack is just perfect, great for parking lots, its good on the freeway and its great in the twisties. Just don't ever ask anyone to hold the wheel for you while you try to do something because no one will know quite how sensitive it is.

Much better all round,

Slightly heavier, but nothing to worry about

Not twitchy at speed, MORE accurate

Had a Quinten Hazell Competition Quickrack fitted to Morecombe( Sportspack ) last MOT. Took a little getting used to but no real problems.
