They were a very lavish LE Mini Cooper model and one of the first to feature the full width walnut dashboard.

The seats were something else too and its sure to be worth a bit if complete and in good shape.

But I'd say that if it's missing it's feature items, then it's not really worth any more than a standard Cooper.

i agree with taffy, the interior on them is really quite nice.

the only thing i dont like are the sigs on the wings.

their much the same as any other 1.3i cooper, but you have the added attraction of the extra bits which are all trim items.

their really quite rare and i dont think many black ones were made. if its all there, then it's a nice mini.

shame its not got a carb :dontgetit:

PS: dont confuse a real Monte Carlo LE with a cooper fitted with the Monte Carlo sticker pack :ermm:

They are my fav mini. I have a black one and would recomend them to others. They can go for crazy prices, £6500 last month and e-bay buy it now for £1200 a few weeks ago. Post some pics, I'd love to see it.

Hi, I was wondering if there was a way to tell if my mini is a monte carlo, when i first bought it there were marks on it that were in the shape of the monte carlo stickers one on each wing and one on the bonnet. It's a 94 cooper in red and it does have the same seats and wooden dash that i've seen on the monte edition.
Any help would be great, cheers guys.

The only Cooper S's you can get are the original Mk 1/2's from the 60's, Rover group never made an 'S' version of the 90's Mk5 Cooper, although John Cooper did do a Rover approved 'S' conversion. And BMW make a Cooper S version of the New Mini (Bini).
