hi, i was wondering if any one could give me a general guide to what it would cost to have my mini stripped, any bodywork and rust doing, then respraying and putting back together. there is not much bodywork to do it could do with 1 new A panel and a new floor. could you also tell me how much it would cost if i stripped it and put it back together myself. all advice would be grately appreciated.

That's a piece of string question... a complete respray wouldn't be cheap and whatever you think needs doing odds on you'll find more when you start digging.

Bodyshop prices vary lots so get yourself a good few quotes, small back street garages tend to be cheaper as they don't have the overheads they also care about their reputation more as they're working for themselves.

Another option is to inquire round the back door of main dealers you might find someone who is happy to earn some extra beer and holiday money.

For my elf, inner wings patching, quite a major job, new front end panels including Elf panel fabrication, bonnet repairing, doors patching, rear quarters patching, patches welded onto floor, full respray/waxoyl = £1500

as a rough idea, it's costing me about £2200 for all the rust removal and new panels to be done on mine.

That's including the following...

Front panel
2x wings
2 x a paneks
Inner hinge panel
sills (inner and outer
door steps
lower rear 1/4 repair
rear valance
rear arches
various other patches here and there

That's just the bodywork though, i'm getting it painted seperatley

Obviously the price will be totally different depending what needs doing with yours, but get a couple of quotes
