Need a bit of help, guys!
Just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem at all....
I'm currently running CS2 for Mac. It's been fine for AGES, so its installed correctly. Lately, however, some of the pop-ups have been going strange!
I try to put a drop-shadow on something, so open up the blending options. The preview shows up on screen, but the options box doesn't appear. But it acts like it has.... so the only way out is to 'Esc' - thus losing the drop shadow!!
I've tried shutting the programme down and re-starting it, but it just does the same again. Even when the computer's been off, I'll come back to it, open up photoshop again and it's still playing up?!
Anyone had anything similar? How'd ya cure it?
I'm utterly puzzled and need my photoshop!!

Dunno how to fix it, but cs3's out now... worth upgrading, its brilliant Especially illustrator, which has a fabulous function to trace round a sketch if you scan it in. They've also tidied up the interface whilst your working, i.e. you dont have all the table's open for layers, history etc because they're all in kinda drop down thingys. Leaves you with more workspace.
Sorry, don't help you fix it, but maybe a good time to upgrade?

yeah - I've got CS3 on the pc, ta It's just I could do with having photoshop on the Mac, too - because the colours on my PC are truly awful, lol!
im downloading the trial of CS3 for Mac now..... but i'd ideally need it for more than 30 days!!

Hi Bean,
A lot of Photoshop problems can be fixed by dumping the preferences file: While launching Photoshop, Hold down Alt+Ctrl+shift on the PC or Cmd+Option+Shift on the mac. When asked to reset the preferences say yes.
Before you do this, save your custom Patterns, actions, styles, brushes, gradients, shapes and colour pallettes. These will also be reset.
Might be worth a go.

Cert Ed, I now teach adults in the community off my laptops, what ever they want to learn.
I left school with average grades, worked for myself in the building trade since then.
From 2004 I re-educated myself, I've gained 7 'O' levels, 1 'A' level, and now The Cert Ed.
Not bad for an old wrinkly.
