Hi,

I got my Mini just over a month ago now paying 1800 for it.

A month before selling it the previous owner had it re-sprayed, but, looking closely it wasn't an expensive one, so in time I'll be getting a much better spray job, for now, it's smart enough.

Also just before selling it he gave it a new set of mini lites and tyres plus a full stainless exhaust, he wasn't planning on getting rid of it but needed the money for other things more important.

After looking at quite a few Minis for around £1500 - £2000 and the amount of work they needed, I'm pretty sure I've got quite a nice one for my money.

Anyway, I've got a lot of plans for it and already I've been really busy spending the money I had left towards one.

I started off by taking the rear seats out and lining it using the same fabric.

Then got myself some Cobra seats and Luke 3-point harnesses.

The alloy legs of the centre consol is made from a set of 20" push bike forks, needs finishing off.

The engine is a standard 998 at the moment, I will be looking for a 1275 soon enough.

And here she is:

Comments and feedback will be much appreciated.

Cheers,
Craig.

Started the dash afew days ago and it's well on it's way, a good few more hours on it and it should be good to go.

Dash is looking good mate, although it needs something on the drivers side, a few aux gauges maybe.

The centre console is ace, really unique (or it was until you posted the pic and everyone will have now have one! ;) )

Just screwed them onto the panel, there pretty slim speakers.

Thanks mate, glad you like it, I'm really happy with it and really enjoying working on it, not to mention driving it.

The lining fabric is from a car spears just down the road from me called motor world, it's the stuff that they line the sub boxes with. Really nice stuff to work with and it stretchers into place awesome.

Yer, getting a rev counter in time, maybe oil and volt, I'll be after some original Smiths ones too.

Haha, yer will have to see if anyone copys my idea with the consol, I've not seen any like it so far, in mags or at shows. Finishing that and the dash off in the next few days. Soon as it's done I'll get some more images posted for feedback.
