Comes with rear passenger shin skinners O_O

The only way you could ride in the rear seat is if you didn't have any legs (or shins), so not really a problem.

These seats have already been posted in this thread before, but figured I may as well contribute with photos of my own installation.

Alfa Romeo GTV fronts and matching rear, these were surprisingly easy to fit in the end. I repurposed brackets from a universal aftermarket mini seat subframe, bolted them to some 3mm flat steel, and attached to the factory Alfa runners on the front seats. No welding or custom fabrication needed, and it means the car itself remains totally standard as it picks up off the factory seat brackets, even retaining the anti-tip locking mechanism. The rear seat is just wedged in place at the moment but I'm going to fashion some sort of hook or bracket to prevent the seat back from tipping forward under heavy braking, apart from that they fit like a dream.

I have a set of Porsche Boxster seats that I have been trying to fit, but with the runners level with the cross member it feels as if you sit too high - and the seat is on its lowest setting.

With the runners below (and behind) the cross member it fouls the adjuster handle and limits travel in the runners.

The runners have been parallel with the floor through all these tries.

Have others tipped/lowered the runners at the rear or something?

Takes a bit of work and welding, but this is an option that would resolve your problem.

Ok - Porsche Boxster seats fit, if you tilt them a bit (or maybe I'm just used to the Cobra seats I had).

The backs are nice and high, but still have plenty of clearance for the headlining, the back tilt's forward (with a handle on both sides of the seat) and you can then slide them forward for good access to the rear.

They would tip, but I've nipped the bolts right up.

Still need to wire the back adjustment up.

Recently I fitted 2 reclining seats of an Opel Adam in my Classic Mini. Left seat right and right seat left. It takes a little welding using a square bar at the back and 2 supports at the front that fit in the brackets that are attached to the cross member. With a little bit of effort you should be able to pass the luggage compartments that hide the seat belts. The rear seats cannot be used for persons but it already was tight there.

In the UK Opel is Vauxhall.

If it helps I could upload some pictures.

Looking at putting a set of porshe 944 seats into the mini. I've seen a couple on this thread and it seems they were bolted directly to the floor. Has anyone here been able to use the mounting points on the crossmember as would like to use with my retro components brackets.

Cheers

Anyone with Alfa seats got any photos of their subframes?

I have Alfa 147 seats and the left and right subframes are entirely different!

Nothing that cant be overcome but a bit annoying knowing that I will have to modify and fabricate differently.

I'm not OCD, Honest!

I have Alfa 147 seats in my kit car and when I got mine the existing Alfa subframes were different, I assume because the bottoms of the seats are slightly different shapes (mine are anyway) but I don't know why.

I removed all of the Alfa stuff and bolted some metal box section directly to the seats - the mounting holes are in the same place on both seats so once I had the box section fixed I could mount them to the floor of the car. Sorry not much help other than suggesting you do away with the existing subframes and start with something else.

Also IIRC the Alfa subframes were quite "tall" so will make the seats sit quite high in the car, assuming you are going to try to somehow bolt these to the mini directly; you might lose a bit of head room (of which there isn't a great deal to start with) so another reason to try to make something  a bit  "lower-profile"
