I always try and get over the point that it was young people that died, 14, 15 year old in WW1 for example, average age in WW2 20 I think. More recently it is still generally under 25. I think that we see the old warriors on parade and associate Remembrance Day with old folk.
They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old
