anyone know what size the petrol pipe is from the pump to the carb.inside bore please.6 or 7mm.

ive had enough of cutting the end off to stop the leaks.it keeps splitting where the exhaust manifold is.

guna get some metal type pipe.

Heat up the end of the plastic pipe with boiling water or a lighter (carefully it is petrol pipe!) and it should then slide on.

cheers for the info.

im going to change all the pipes as there really old and most of them have cracked with age,they keep splitting.
it looks like 6mm ?.

I think when mine was changed i had a piece of 5/16 pipe! Not that that is really of any use whatsoever...

hi,ive got a old piece of 5/16 and its to big.
i might be being fussy but i want it to fit as good as i can get it,once its in i don't want to be forever fixing leaks like i have been doing for the past 2 months.

i cant believe no one knows the size of the petrol pipe. :withstupid:

Too big for the carb or the pump? i fitted a fuel filter and i used that on the pump, to the filter, then out of the filter to the carb! And used one of them band tightener things on each bit, hasnt leaked yet!

the pump and the carb has the same size inlets/outlets.

im looking for a nice tight push on fit.
