...thought that might get you looking!!
I have often seen(normally in mags) the rear bumper removed from a mini....and it is a completely smooth curve..i.e. no bumper attachment bit.
How is this achieved? Needs to be removed? or you buy special rear panel?
Thanks in advance. Also, if anyone ghas a picture of what I'm on about, great!
Thanks.
P.S. Update in my mini life - I may have found my first mini!

You might also want to weld it up, to stop the back end of your car falling apart

precisely! stunning !
So is that the process? remove bumper bit and weld back together?
Where can I learn to weld? (I am serious!)
Thanks,
Tony

Your local further ed college or in exchange for sweeping up, tea making 'n sexual favours at a local bodyshop or steel fabricators.
Don't slice the whole arse seam off in one go by the way or it'll end up looking more Anne Widdicome than Kylie Min-ogue.

You can't just hack the lip off in one go. You have to take it off in sections and weld it up as you go. Otherwise the valence will fall off and your boot floor will be flapping around. Learning to weld takes practice - I've been dabbling for about a year now I think, and its taken that long to get fairly neat at it. You can learn at nightschools at colleges, or pick up a welding torch, some scrap and teach yourself.
