dished pistons? dont they lower compression ratio hence they are used in forced induction setups, so u may not need much headwork being done, im sure jonspeed can calculate your compression ratio for you.
Gearbox wise - Minimum for a large power output would be uprated 4-pin diff orit will just go bang with all the torque. Depends how you drive and what the condtion of this gearbox is at the moment.

For 140bhp your looking at an uprated clutch, and as Samwell said, a X-pin (aka 4 pin) diff. I'd also get the box rebuilt.

All I ever wanted to do on this subject is to give the criticised company's view of a posted topic (not just Jonspeed). Without their view the discussion is one-sided and therefore by definition unfair. I am so sorry that you all think I am biased towards them, I'm not, just biased towards a balanced viewpoint. It was stated earlier this month that their kit was rubbish and that they were bodgers. In the interests of fairness and, as I use their service to look after our minis, MOTs etc and have nothing but praise for them this seemed to me to be at odds with what the poster had said.
Being local I approached them, drew their attention to the accusation and offered them the chance to use my log in to answer their critics. I have also asked (as a Mod) someone else to do this for another company in Manchester. In order to keep up to date with developments I have been in contact with the company and pmd the members involved. They all told me (I have copies) that they were OK with the outcome and were happy to leave it at that. No, when it returns I am very confused as I am getting conflicting messages.
I feel that if you have bought an item of equipment that you are unhappy with then you should speak to them directly.
I can state quite catagorically that I have never deleted any posts by Andykettle so I don't understand your accusation?
Matty.. then Jonspeed kit is fitted in the same way as Vmax and as for being misleading, two 17 year old lads locally with no mechanical experience at all have just fitted one...so it can't be that hard can it? I do agree though that the information that goes with the kit needs updating and this is something, I am told is being done...the r&d goes on.
minisprint, the posts that were deleted had no information about the kit or fitting that wasn't in the main thread. It's not true that I am only happy when it suits me, except to say that I am only really happy when people stop arguing with each other, actually talk to each other instead of using these dammed Forum and get along like we ought to. Is it a generation thing?
I don't know what else to say really...........

right ive been thinking,

new mini superchargers go on ebay for about 200 pound ish
ive got acess to a lathe so i can make the pulley,
i wreckon a downdraft weber manifold or and mpi manifold could be modified to fit the supercharger,
and the pipe from supercharger to carb could also be made fairly easily

what does everyone think?
if anyone has any photos of the inlet manifold supplied in either the jonspeed kit or vmax then it would be good if you could post it up here so i can have a ganders

I've just bought one of these kits and it's fine - comprehensive and everything fits, straight out the box. Found the service to be A1.

Hope this helps.

Hello all! Sorry i didnt reply to your pm nobbycameron ive been offline for a month while moving house! Dont no if this will be any use to you but here goes. im running a 1330 a+ motor with sw5 cam, mildly fettled head, 1.5 rockers, ultra lite flywheel. aldon dizzy and jonspeeds supercharger kit. Mine has a proven 138bhp at the flywheel, rolling roaded at paul goy racing in lincoln. Its currently running a standard gearbox and diff and to my utter amazement its been fine! i was warned heavily against this by many people but i was skint so planned to run it for only a short while till it killed the diff. However ive done over 2000 miles with mine and it gets used nearly every day without a single problem.

Again, sorry its so late and is proably no use now but thought i drop a message just to be polite! cheers!

just read the whole thread. and i do have some concerns but anyways.
im getting a jonspeed supercharger and i'll let ya know. but not intill i have finished my flip front and payed my "over the top" insurance costs
so say 1 or so years time!

anyways i have used jonspeed for my mini parts and i recon their costomer service is second to non.
and i have had a little mishap with hudderfield spares but i was conpensated for that. with an upgrade of tyres on my ultralites
but anyways.
