:) Well it all started in march this year when i bought this clapped out Mayfair for £102 from Driffield near bridlington.

on the way home we lost the drivers side front wheel which is why the front wing is smashed in which also flattened the bottom arm as we dragged the car for about a mile down the road. ;D

also the rear subframe was absolutely shot as the photos show

hi yes the flying wheel was a hair raising moment but the damage is not to bad only a flat bottom arm, backplete and drum which gives me the perfect excuse to convert to disks.

this is a long term project because I'm only 13 and money is at a minimum parts are saved up for from my spending money and odd jobs.

the plan is to fully restore the car and I'm going for a retro theme group 2 arches but 12 inch wheels and not 10s. Also Hawaiian blue and black roof colur scheme :teehee: The wheels aro going to be 12 by 5.5 revolutions.

do you think it started up after putting new coil distributor cap and leads a bit of messing with the float chamber at the side of the carb the needle was stuck also we cleaned up the points.

Me and my father are doing the work I clean up the metal with the sand blaster and my father does the grinding and welding also i do a little bit of welding and grinding.

bye for now will up date soon.

if i was you krippy 31 i would just get the welder out and replace the panels that need replacing and get plenty of steel plate as there will be more rust than you can see watch out for rear wheel arches and the kic pannel in th corners where the subframe mounts

Hi a update of when i put a new rear subframe on which we started in july and finished in november.

I replaced the old rear subframe with a subframe that was stamped with the letters MOWOG i purchesed the subframe for £10 off of ebay and i also now have a spare rear subframe and three radius arms and all of the running gear.

i sprayed the subframe in plasti dip which i advise you dont bye as it is C**p because it peals off and chips very easly and is not like plastic at all its more like rubber :o , so i ended up painting it in hammerite blue

I shotblasted all of the inside of th boot and also the wheel arches and kick pannel which all needed plating up
so me and my dad replaced the back of the boot floor plated the wheel arches and also the kick pannel.

also purchsed a 8.4 inch disk brake set up for £50.00 off of ebay again. :o
