Im looking for a cam for my engine and i just wondered what sort of spec this cam is

Model: MM6648

Cam lift: inlet:0.250"/6.35mm exhaust 0.252"/6.40mm

inlet opens at 16 Degress B.T.D.C. closes at 56 Degress A.B.D.C.
exhaust opena at 59Degrees B.B.D.C. closes at 29 Degrees A.T.D.C.

Any info would be good.

Hi that looks exactly like an MG Metro cam, check out vizards Tuning a series book, page 263, the camshaft chart fig 11.2, its number 8 on the chart.

use swiftune SW5 cam its by far the best cam on the market ............... :thumbsup:

thats not true, cam depends on the aplication its being used larger engine use longer duration cams better what might seem too lairy in a 1275 is going to be far better suited to a 1430, if somthing performs well on 1275 might find it doesnt quite have a long enough duration to open a long enough period to gain a decent volumetric efficiency (the amount of charge which can be drawn into an engine on the induction stroke) engines never get 100% being naturaly asperated

So again you havent read wht the person has posted, and made a ridiculous suggestion, you honestly think an SW5 is the best cam on the market for ANY spec of engine, in ANY circumstance? If it was the best cam on the market can you suggest why swiftune developed other cams, and then revised the sw5?
