good work dude :D

Cheers, I just want to get that tar stuff off now. It's proving to be a pain in the a**e, nothing I do seems to work very well but overall I'm happy with the progress.

I've already posted pictures of these in the general mini chat section but as they are for this project, I thought I would show you what I've had made by a metal fabricator;

I have started spraying them and I have also sourced a supplier of some stainless steel bolts and gas struts, so they should look nice when they're on.

I'll add some more pictures later.

Luke.

They brackets so my front end will flip like this;

They are only available to buy from America so I had a set made rather than paying the £200 it would cost to import.

It lines up very well actually but I am going to fit some tabs on the a-panels to make sure eveything lines up and stays where it should. The bonnet catch actually helps hold everything central as well.

Did you get those hinges from America or fabricate them yourself? either way they look brilliant and your ingenuity is fantastic.

To be honest, Matrix has done a similar thing on his apart from the catches are mounted on the a-panels, one each side. I can't claim it for myself

Nifty trick mate :shifty:

The wiring just uses are 5-pin relay and when its wired up in the correct way, it was easy. The hard bit was figuring out what wire goes where.

The hardest bit for me was fabricating the bracket to hold the catch.

Cheers all for the positive comments.

Luke.
