Ive been looking at rover mini sprites, not sure which type of 1275 they have in, basically any 1275 but the injection models, wanting something around early 90's but may go earlier if there is a good onethere more than one type of 1275

its a little over a full tank from the first service station out side silverstone circuit to my house in fowey
you have to roll past the welcome to fowey sign but at least it down hill all the way after the fuel runs out

top speed: 87mph
0-60: 13.4 seconds
average MPG: 36
1275 carb cooper
top speed: 87mph (but more like 93mph and will do more if pushed)
0-60: 12.2 seconds
average MPG: 33 but you'll be lucky

all later minis have the 34 litre fuel tank
you can read all about the carb coopers on the site below my signature.

I usually look at Parkers but they didnt have much info on minisi always use parkers.co.uk for things like this. they give good write ups on most cars too. this link will take you to the minis facts and figures page. from there you can read the write and all sorts.

The Mini Sprite replaced the outgoing Mini City and was originally fitted with a HIF38 carburettor for it's 1275cc engine from it's introduction in 1992 (the Mini City had previously had a 998cc engine).
But by around 1994/95 it switched to single point fuel injection like all other Mini models and Limited Editons. The Rover Mini Cooper had been SPi since late (October?) 1991.
The Mini Sprite and Mini Mayfair didn't have the same level of torque or performance as the Mini Cooper, so that's why the Cooper has a higher insurance rating.
Also don't get confused with the 1983 Mini Sprite LE that had 10" alloy wheels and a 998cc engine.
