Hello

dont really want to go through the hastle of signing up to another forum for no1 to reply

I making a movie in which i want a ball (movieclip to move randomly)

onClipEvent(enterFrame)
{
_x=_x=random(770);
_y=_y=random(550);
}

This makes it move about but how do i alter the speed?!

ermmmmm

The only think I know about changing the speed in flash is to change the key frames that the 'event' happens on... :)

That's all I know, I'm afraid :thumbsup:

i think if in one keyframe it's in one place.... then create a new keyframe and it's in another.

Then make a 'tween' to bridge the 2 and it should move.

to make it faster or slower, move the second along the timeline..

but if that doesn't work, i'm sure someone more intelligent will be along later :)

Never realise what a messy worker i was had hundreds of tabs open!

Basically the blue ball in the corner moves randomly around the screen but i want to slow it down so the user can click on it!

Hehe :thumbsup: looks cool!

Ok - so is that its starting position? :ermm:

If you then go to say.... frame 110, right click and insert a keyframe. Then move the ball to wherever you want it to go.

Then highlight between the start position and the new keyframe. Right click and select 'create motion tween'

That will then fill in all the frames in be'tween' the two..

if you want it slower... move the second keyframe along to 120...130..

The tween should follow. :ermm:

I hope that makes sense and I'm not just repeating myself! :)

If you want me to have a looksie at it, I can see what I can do... but I hope that helps :P

EDIT: linky no worky :wub: access denied :wub:
