I got an email from experian last night, something about new activity on my account... well i havent used my experian account for about 5 years so i went and had a quick look.
Low and behold... I had defaulted on a mortgage payment with my cheltenham and gloustester mortgage for a house 20 miles away... which is unusual because i only have an abbey mortgage on my current property.
Whats more unusual still is that i appear to be living with my ex partner at this property 20 miles away and have a joint mortgage with him for £99,000 as well as a car loan for £24,000 a personal loan for £5000 and 2 joint accounts all in my maiden name. All these financial arrangements were set up in 2001 however I have not seen my Ex since 1994! and been married since 1996 !
Ive even got my own current talktalk phone account and mobile at this other address.

Ive been in touch with the police now and they are going to his address to get an explanation, but from the printout i have it looks quite plain that ive been getting ripped off.

The police say im not liable for anything as far as they are concerned, but im not convinced. Thank god i dont need any financial assistance or a mortgage right now!

Im a bit shaken because i feel a bit invaded if you know what i mean, it was so wierd seeing our names on the same page again.

Has this happened to anyone here, how did you deal with it?

Me and my ex get on fine now, I think we have just grown up and now that we are not 'in love' means we can kind of see each side of the story. It was still a horrible break up though and took me a long time to trust him again.

If your interested, you can enter the post code in Google Maps (click "maps" on the main google page), and get an aerial view of the loction - it prolly wont be dead-on the house in question, but it won't be too far off.

I think everybody has been out with a psycho before. My psycho ex still lives somewhere near me, thankfully she hasn't recognized me the few times we've passed each other - actually I think she was drunk or high each time, so that prolly helped. She was ripping me off when I was going out with her, and she would STILL try to get money out of me, even now (she was still trying to tap me for cash LOONG after I got rid of her, AND she was living with some other psycho drug-dealing guy she met in a POLICE BAIL HOSTEL!.....such a lovely couple.... :P ).

She now has two kids - apparently - though knowing what she's like I have doubts about them being by the same guy she lives with...... I feel sorry for those kids, that's not the ideal life to grow up in at all. :mrcool:

She once tried to extort money from some guy I knew, by claiming she was raped.....even went to the police and everything - naturally they found it to be a lie very quickly. This was not the only time she tried to ruin some one's life either.......

I could go on for hours about the horrible kind of person she is - but I just find it too depressing, when I think that I somehow, actually went out with her at all. :D

My friend sorted it out with a 12 bore, she never did it again, well in fact she never did anything again, he however can't do a lot as he's at Her Majesty's pleasure for a long time.

Alan..
