Clear Cost?

Anyway, just came back from my paint shop and got some thinners but I asked about clear coat cost.
The nice woman at the shop went and bough a 2 maybe 3 liter can of paint out with a cost of £17.95 on it.
Which seemed like alot. Or is that what I'm expecting to pay for the clear?
Just want to be sure I'm not getting ripped off a little.
Ta.

AAArgh not Omicron! actually the hardener is alright but use both the hardener and the clearcoat together and it's not very nice to use. Difficult to get a nice finish and dries with quite a dull shine. Sorry David..

I have to admit, that was hard work getting that laquer back on texture.

Lovely.

Edit
Why does paint with no color cost so damn much anyway?

It's only as expensive as decent quality paint, per litre.

melons it. Maybe I should just sell up. Can't really afford to do much more anyway.
