I firstly noticed a problem playing Bioshock. Basically if I am moving a character using the W,A,S&D and I move the mouse the character will stop moving. If I then repress the key, I can carry on moving until I move the mouse again. I searched the Bioshock forums and found that other people had similar problems after getting past a certain part of the game. So I didn't think anything of it and hoped they would patch a solution in the near future.

Now I have recently started playing Warcraft again, and I'm having this problem again. It was fine at first, but developed over time, although the problem is not as bad as it is in Bioshock. So now I'm begining to think it might be a hardware problem

I am using a Microsoft wireless mouse/keyboard and have fitted new batteries to both.

Can anyone surgest anything, please?

Try using a normal wired mouse, or a seperate USB wireless mouse - I'm betting the problem is a lack of interupt handling in the limited data bandwith that the wireless keyboard has. It's the same reason that you usually can't press more than 3 or 4 seperate keys simultainiously on a keyboard and have them all work at the same time. Thats also why I tend to use an old serial / PS2 mouse (optical), and an old wired keyboard that handles more multiple keys at a time, when playing any game that require complex / multiple key combinations.

I'm betting the problem is a lack of interupt handling in the limited data bandwith that the wireless keyboard has.
