I had asked on another mini site but didnt get the results I was looking for. Does anybody know some specifics on the torsion sway bar in this picture.

I used an image enlarger program to try and read the logo on the first picture but I couldnt see it :)

It is used quite commonly on race minis. I was hoping to find a link to these with some good specs and descriptions.

Cheers

I have been told that it is an anti sway bar. It looks to me like a torsion sway bar. Its the aluminum pivot bar linked to the upper control arm via a pushrod. It looks fairly common, I have with out much effort been able to find 5 or so cars with similar looking pieces.

Ok cheers. I've emailed Keith about setting up suspension angles before and found him to be very very careful. He must be quite a busy man, so having his attention for any length of time was appreciated.

By the use of the term Sway Bar I guess Woody is American, so to clear up any misunderstanding we call them Anti Roll Bars in the UK.

The only front anti roll bars I've seen over here have been mounted under the front edge of the front subframe, looking at those pictures it looks although that bar runs inside the car and under the dash. Fine for a race car but it looks like you would have to loose the heater which would make it a PITA for a road car.

Check out the KAD's bar, half way down the page. http://www.kad-uk.com/suspension.htm
