Has any one fitting or tried to fit air con to a Vtec Mini.
I want to use the mini as a daily driver over a track car so was wondering if it is possible to fit air con to it?

many thankx

I don't myself have one, but i do fancy a Vtec on my mini.

I know MiniMania sells the kit clicky although I think it's a bit pricey, you can probably find everything you need from scrapyards, however i'd invest in a new compressor to spare you some headaches in the future.

I run a/c in my mini but it was factory installed. It's great, the minis interior size is perfect as is gets cold so fast.

Cheers

Hello Chris

Do you have any feedback on this modification?
I am concerned that the condenser pump will be in the way of the swing arm.

Stefan

I would be surprised if you can get the AC pump in there but I am sure there are others out there that would like to know for sure whether or not it will, so if you find out please report back.

I wouldn't hold your breath for a reply from Chris as he hasn't posted on here in years (Steve@Z's might chime in for us though), you're better off sending an email to someone at Z's to get a direct reply to a specific question if the forum community can't help you...

Good luck with fitting the AC......
