OLD MINI !!! Binis are very very nice but i think BMW should have created another name for it, and not brought out Mini

im fairly sure this forum is predominantly for mini owners and most of the MINI owners get frightened off by how angry some forum users can get. Personally, i don't need/want a quiet, soft riding, expensive, heavy and complicated car with a large engine so its a mini for me.

It does feel wrong that BMW did get the mini as it feels that a part of British heritage has been taken away

Think I'll stop looking at this thread, before it gets ugly!

Lol I'm not bitter just sad about the whole BMW thing. Unfortunately a lot of mistakes were made with the British car industry and we no longer have one. Rover was the last one left but I think everyone would agree with me when I mention the "City Rover" as the main culprit for killing off Rover

The CityRover wasn't why Rover went under, it was just the final nail in the coffin.

I agree. Have you ever been inside one??

Nope, but I can imaging what it would be like.
Just watch the Top Gear review and you'll have a pretty good idea about it.

I went to the motor show and had the displeasure of actually sitting inside it I really did think it was going to fall apart. It reminded me of some of the poorer Austin cars such as the Maestro and the Montego lol
